Dr Md Sohel Rana is a highly qualified and experienced General Practitioner, registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with General and Specialist Registration in General Practice.

He completed his MBBS at the University of Dhaka (2004) and was awarded the Australian Medical Council (AMC) Certificate in 2012. He subsequently earned his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2025, confirming his expertise and commitment to high-quality primary care. Dr Rana also holds a Master of Science in Population Health from the University of Wollongong.

With more than a decade of medical experience in Australia, Dr Rana undertook his training in General Medicine at Logan Hospital, Canberra Hospital and Rockhampton Base Hospital. Building on this broad hospital experience, he transitioned to General Practice in 2021 and has since been caring for patients with compassion and evidence-based treatment at Fassifern Doctors, Boonah, before joining us at Good Health Medical Centre, Mt Gravatt.

Dr Isaac Hii is a General Practitioner Registrar.He completed his medical studies at Bond University at Gold Coast, Queensland.Isaac had worked as a resident at Ipswich Hospital for his first 2 years and most recently worked at the Mater Hospital in 2024, gaining further sub-specialty experience. He has also completed the Graduate Diploma in Child Health through Western Sydney University. He has an interest in all facets of general practice.He is keen to get to know and care for his patients. He believes that compassion, dedication and communication are vital pillars of healthcare, and he strives to uphold these with every patient he sees.

Siv Hun, Master of Social Work (Qualifying)

Siv is a qualified Social Worker with Footprints Community, currently delivering services at Smith Brothers Medical Clinic through Brisbane South PHN’s Social Worker in General Practice project. Siv is also an accredited Mental Health and Youth Mental Health First Aider, with experience supporting individuals with complex psychosocial, cognitive and physical needs across community and healthcare settings.

 

She has worked extensively within the NDIS framework and is passionate about delivering trauma-informed, person-centred care and works collaboratively with GPs and multidisciplinary teams; providing compressive psychosocial and needs assessments, and coordinating services for individuals experiencing mental health challenges, housing instability and social disadvantages. Siv has also supported individuals through complex life situations, navigating legal systems and barriers to accessing healthcare and social supports.

 

Siv is multilingual and values culturally responsive practice, ensuring patients feel heard, respected and supported in their healthcare journey.

I have been a registered psychologist for many years under AHPRA. I have Worked in two prisons and with community corrections with clients diagnosed with anti-social personality disorder, mental health and drug/alcohol offences is how I started my practical psychological skills after graduating from James Cook University.

From corrections to BoysTown at Kingston working with young people under 25 with dual diagnosis (drug and or alcohol, mental health issues). I became the manager of the dual diagnosis program named Landmark. This gave me the opportunity to liaise with many mental health professionals and present at several conferences such as Police conference and a loss and grief conference.

After 8 years I then went onto working for Interlock a subsidiary of the Alcohol and Drug Foundation as an EAP Psychologist which encompassed many mental health issues.

E.G. depression, anxiety, mood disorder, workplace and adjustment disorder. I trained in mediation and critical incidence/trauma and was called upon for critical incidence situations both in Brisbane and remote to the mines of central north Queensland.

I ran a driving with care program with referrals from magistrates for people caught drink/drug driving. I managed and ran Holyoake program for families and significant others who were involved with people who have drug/alcohol issues.

During my varied psychological career, I have attended many courses and training that has given me the knowledge to work in the various fields.

I was then promoted to a drug and alcohol clinician for the alcohol and drug foundation which became lives well lived. Youth justice program was a focus. Following referrals, I travelled to the east side of Brisbane and serviced that area. After leaving Lives Lived, I went into Private Practice of which I still provide psychological services. I have a great respect for people who are struggling with their mental health and enjoy working along side to help make their life a happier one. My varied experiences are helpful in working at Smith Brothers Medical whose clients from many different issues.

Navin has cared for patients in hospitals and practices across 3 continents in Subspecialty and General Medicine, General Practice and Public Health. He holds a Medical Masters from the University of Warwick, Leicester-Warwick School of Medicine, England, United Kingdom.

I am a GP Registrar. I have a background of working as an ICU nurse prior to graduating from medical school in 2014. I had a focus on surgery early in my career followed by emergency medicine before embarking on General Practice. My focus is to provide preventative care in the community setting to aim for better patient outcomes.
