Jim Chalmers visit

It was a great privilege and honor for The Smith Brothers Medical Clinic, Woodridge to host the Federal treasurer and Member for Rankin, Mr. Jim Chalmers, and the honourable Minister for Aged Care and Sports for Queensland, Ms Anika Wells on the First of November. The ministers visited our facility interacted with some of our patients and enquired about the care they were receiving. They expressed their satisfaction and gratitude to the staff of the clinic for providing high-quality care for the community despite the challenges that General Practice is facing. They listened to one of the Principal GPs Dr Sunil RAJAN who raised the concerns that GPs face in areas like Woodridge which face a higher burden of medical co-morbidities than the general average.

Overall, the staff and patients were delighted by the high-profile visit and appreciated the time that Mr Jim Chalmers and Ms Anika Wells spent with them.
