He has worked in General Practice in the Logan area for more than 20 yrs and is well versed in working with Logan’s diverse population.
Dr Tawhid Hassanien
Dr. Tawhid Hassanien is a General Practitioner as well as trained in the specialty of Obstetrics and
Gynecology. He is fully registered with the Australian Medical Council, a member of Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM), and holds an Advanced Diploma from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynecologist. He is a mentor for the Certificate of Women’s health training ( Ranzcog)
Dr. Tawhid is also fully registered with the British Medical Council in the United Kingdom, where he worked for 18 years.
Over the last two decades, Dr. Tawhid has practiced medicine in Australia providing high quality care to patients in cities including Alice Springs, Darwin, Melbourne, the Gold Coast, Redcliff, Logan and Brisbane.
He is a firm believer that 80% of women’s health can be managed successfully at the primary care level without paying expensive specialist fees or being on long waiting list. Therefore He established “Australian Women Health” which operates from Smith Brother Medical Clinic in Woodridge and Point Medical clinic in Kangaroo point and the following services are available through him :

DR Nirush Rameswaran
Dr Nirush graduated from Griffith University and is interested in all aspects of General practice.
Dr Robbie Honore, MD
Dr Robbie graduated from Griffith University and is working towards a fellowship in general practice.
He is interested in all areas of general practice, with particular interests in palliative care, chronic disease and aged care.
Dr Geoff Smith
Dr Geoff Smith commenced general practice in Ewing Road in 1979, after returning from several years in rural Queensland. As the original practice became quite busy he encouraged Dr Richard to join on completion of his training. He is a member of the Australian medical association. He is interested in all aspects of General Practice.
Dr Feroz Ameerjan
MBBS, MAvMed (Otago)
Dr Feroz has worked in India, UAE and Qatar before settling in Australia. In his previous role he has worked in Airforce and an International Airline with special interest in Aviation medicine. He is interested in all aspects of General Practice.
